Vale Vivienne Scott

It is with incredible sadness we inform you that ex NZWP Board member Viv Scott passed away suddenly last week. Her funeral will be held on Friday 22 November 2024 at 11am at the Collingwood Funeral Home Chapel, 1358 Eruera St, Rotorua.

Viv was on the Board from 2016 - 2022, holding the role of Deputy Chair from 2019 – 2022 and led the Risk and Governance sub-committee. Viv was appointed to the Board as an Independent Director following a review of NZWP governance structures, she came recommended by the Tindall Foundation. Viv was instrumental in setting our governance structures up as they are today and cementing us firmly in the eyes of Sport NZ as an organisation that has the correct foundations in place for a successful future.

It is a sad day, and for those of you who know her I’m sure you’ll agree - she will be missed incredibly.
