Suzuki Division 2 National Water Polo League to kick off in Wellington
The 2025 Suzuki Division 2 Water Polo National League is ready to get underway in Wellington this Friday, 11 April, as eight teams dive into the action for the first of three rounds of competition. Below, we’ve got everything you need to know ahead of the opening weekend.
Waikato returns to the pool as reigning champions in both the men’s and women’s grades, however, the competition is sure to be fierce—with teams like 2024 medallists Marist Makutu and Harbour City Hawks eager to shake up the standings.

Venues & Schedule:
Matches will be held across Te Ngāengae Pool and the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre, with games kicking off on 11 April. Round one concludes with finals on Sunday, 13 April, at the Wellington Regional Aquatic Centre, starting from 11:10am.
