Code of Integrity for Sport and Recreation open for public feedback

24 Sep

Can you help raise the bar for integrity in sport and recreation?

The Sport Integrity Commission Te Kahu Raunui (the Commission) is encouraging everyone involved in our sport to share their feedback on a new Integrity Code.

The Integrity Code aims to help sport and recreation organisations protect their members from harm. It will work by setting consistent standards for preventing and addressing issues like bullying, abuse and harassment.

Over the next six weeks, we invite our members to get involved in the Commission’s public consultation on the Integrity Code. You’ll be sharing your thoughts on questions like:

  • Does the Integrity Code do enough to protect people?
  • Does it offer useful ways of raising and resolving complaints?
  • Would your club need help to implement it?

You’ve got until 1 November 2024 to read the draft Integrity Code and share your feedback at haveyoursay.sportintegrity.nz
