Fountain & Keightley named to WCC All-Academic team in the US
Congratulations to Bae Fountain (University of the Pacific / Tauranga Water Polo) and Mitchell Keightley (San José State University / Waikato Water Polo) on being named in the the West Coast Conference's 2024 Men’s Water Polo All-Academic Team. The WCC's All-Academic Team comprises of student-athletes who excel both in the pool and in the classroom in 2024.
The WCC explains that: "At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average while being a significant contributor to their team and in at least their second year at their school."
Not only are Fountain and Keightley continuing to develop as athletes during their time at college in the US, but they are also benefitting from a quality education. The duo are two of only three athletes selected to the All-Academic team that maintained a 4.0 GPA average - a testament to their hard work in and out of the pool.
