Delfina Premier League kicks off at Diocesan Aquatic Centre

31 May

The Delfina New Zealand Water Polo Premier League is back and ready to provide a ton of exciting water polo action in Auckland from Saturday 31 May to Monday 2 June at Diocesan School for Girls.

This year’s competition is shaping up to be something special, with the majority of New Zealand’s top women’s players all in one place. Most are back from their US college and European seasons and gearing up for the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore this July—so expect some seriously high-level water polo.

New Zealand's top water polo players will be drafted into four teams — Albatross, Orcas, Sharks, and Dolphins — and go head-to-head in a round-robin tournament across Saturday and Sunday, with semi finals taking place on Sunday afternoon and finals wrapping up on Monday.

The Delfina New Zealand Water Polo Premier League is your chance to see some of New Zealand’s top water polo talent in action. Most of our national women’s team will be there, just over 12 months after a history-making run where they missed Olympic qualification by two goals. It’s a rare chance to watch high-level play and learn from some of the sharpest athletes in the game.

We're excited to have the continued support of Delfina as we welcome them as the title sponsor and official merchandise and swimwear partner for this competition. Delfina is a well renowned Australian brand and continue to be the trusted supplier for the New Zealand National Team this year and beyond.

Delfina's commitment to utilising the highest quality materials and products in aquatic wear align with our high performance values, and we're thrilled to have them onboard for this exciting competition.

Make sure to grab your spectator tickets and join us!
