Worlds Team Members
White Caps World Team Members are named before a World Aquatics event. A World Aquatics Event is any event run and managed by World Aquatics. White Caps Worlds Team members include the traveling reserve but does not include the non-travelling reserve (if a non-traveling reserve is called up to travel, they then become a White Caps Worlds Team Member).
Worlds team members are presented with their level three representative team kit. Along with their kit, White Caps World Team members are also given a ‘forever’ cap number which acknowledges their achievement in reaching the highest level of water polo representation for NZ. Even once they are retired, they keep this number as part of the White Caps Alumni. They are referred to as White Caps (year) Worlds Team Members.

These athletes are the start of an ongoing legacy. As they represent their country at the highest levels of international waterpolo, White Caps Worlds Team Members are given a number to recognize when they debuted as an official White CapsWorld Team Member competing in a World Aquatics event. This tradition will be carried on for every White Caps World Team Member who makes a World Aquatics Event Team. The athletes in this team will be given a number at an official presentation where the numbering starts at 1. This is a hall of fame system where the numbers are consecutive.
