WPNZ Staff Update Novemeber 2025

We are excited to share a few updates from the Water Polo New Zealand team.

Marketing / Communications

We would like to take a moment to acknowledge Tanisha Keach, who has recently finished up with Water Polo New Zealand. We thank her sincerely for her contribution and commitment during her time with us and wish her every success in her next chapter.

At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome Isabelle Clague to the organisation as our Marketing & Communications Manager. Isabelle is a “friend of aquatics” and joins us on a full-time, permanent basis. We are delighted to have her onboard and look forward to the expertise and enthusiasm she brings to the role.

Events / Competitions

As part of some upcoming transitions within our team, Blake Taylor will be moving into a fixed term role with Tennis Auckland, supporting the delivery of the ASB Classic through to the end of January 2026. He is set to complete his current work streams and, next year, will assist with strategic projects for Water Polo New Zealand.

He remains the main contact for National League, the 2026 calendar, and referee qualification and education.

During this time, Henry Whitfield will assume the Event Manager duties, ensuring the continued smooth delivery of our competitions and events. 

Performance

Helena Gasson has commenced her maternity leave. We wish her all the very best and look forward to welcoming her back in May 2026.
