Water Polo New Zealand Confirms Chair Resignation, Interim Appointed

Water Polo New Zealand has confirmed that Alex Howieson has resigned from her roles as Chair and Director.

On behalf of the Board and the wider water polo community, her service, leadership, and commitment to the sport during her tenure as Chair have been acknowledged and appreciated.

The Board has noted that there is a significant body of work ahead to ensure the sport is well positioned for the future. This will require collective effort, shared responsibility, and constructive engagement across the water polo community.

In the interim, Richard Shine has assumed the role of Chair on a temporary basis, providing continuity through to the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM).
