Barbarian Team Opportunities
Barbarian teams offer opportunities for athletes to compete at a national level when their club is unable to enter a team. WPNZ is exploring whether there is sufficient interest to form Barbarian teams for the upcoming National Age Group Championships.
These teams are designed for athletes whose clubs do not have sufficient numbers to field a team, as well as for those who may not currently have a team to compete with in the relevant divisions.
Players are encouraged to express their interest if they are not entered in, or do not have a team competing in, the following competitions:
- Men’s 18U Division 1
- Women’s 18U Division 1
- Men’s 21U
- Women’s 21U
By forming Barbarian teams, the competition remains inclusive and accessible, ensuring that talented athletes across the country still have the chance to participate and showcase their abilities on a national stage.
